Vive e lavora a Livorno operando nel campo delle arti visive.
Dal 1995 lavora in teatro, come attore, per alcune compagnie locali e nazionali.
Nel 2003 si dedica alla lavorazione del legno, aprendo una falegnameria, proponendo oggetti dove il riciclo dei materiali si accompagna all’uso di tecniche moderne di assemblaggio e finitura.
Dal 2012 si dedica principalmente alla creazione di sculture in materiali vari, di recupero e non, dal ferro al legno al calcestruzzo, studiando una serie di modelli di piante grasse, fichidindia, cactus, agavi.
Dal 2011, in collaborazione con S.Pilato, realizza istallazioni all’aperto.
Quando possibile vola in parapendio.

Maurizio Biagini –  site
1983/85  His work begins to act as a work of denunciation: solitary figures, unarmed men, prostitutes waiting for clients, drunks, lost souls, and children. It portrays the weak, using canvases filled with color or monochrome paintings. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara, which he later left. At that time, he engraved a series of 12 etchings that depicted people in poverty, women full of loneliness and children.

1987/88/89 He started working  on large canvases for the first time . The human figure almost transfered from the canvases. The subjects are clearly figurative. It offers the viewer his attention to the “New Figuration”. At this time, he also started some research on the materials to use, sand and tar paper. During this period he worked on many paintings.

1996/2000 New cycle and search for an itinerary. Now his focus shifts definitively on the transavantgarde and the Italian POP. In previous years, he had visited various exhibitions of these types. But it is only at the beginning of ’96 that Maurizio adheres to this current. His research is geared mostly to appreciate the materials first and then the speed of execution. There, it is encloses the two main qualities of Maurizio: “gestures” and a huge “capacity for synthesis.”

Dal 1987 ha intrapreso la libera professione nel settore della grafica pubblicitaria realizzando progetti per committenze pubbliche e private.

Dal 1993 ha sviluppato la produzione artistica Pesce Fresco.
Raccogliendo sulle spiagge etrusche quello che il mare restituisce, soprattutto legno, assemblandolo con altri materiali costruisce principalmente pesci da appendere. Inoltre realizza sempre con lo stesso principio del riciclaggio, installazioni, sculture, lampade, specchi, oggetti di scena e altro.

In the 1993 he developed out of his creativity an artistic production “pesce fresco”. Passing time on the Etruscan beaches collecting what the sea brings back to the land, mostly wood, which he assembles with other materials and  creates a colourful world of hanging fishes.
With the same principle of recycled materials he creates, installations, sculptures, lamps, mirrors, stage objects and more.

What we do is for our own or other people’s pleasure and memory. Do not call ourselves photographers, nor photo – enthusiasts or even worse…. artists.  We document just what we see, because we believe that belongs to us in some way.  Or maybe once belonged to what has hit us .  And to do this we use a camera.
The relationship with time, its symbols , its decline and the ‘ impermanence of our own version, expresses the breath and the entire uselessness of our work, which is especially dedicated to those who are not are interested .  To better define ourselves and not for conceit.
To others, we offer what we have not yet seen, forgotten and lost . The places where we are not yet able to walk , the houses where we still can not get in, and the multitude of faces and bodies that we met , and we wanted to be all along.  Another, there may be asked , why would not know it.  Nor we do wish.  If we were to choose a reference, or a person in our life who has inspired us in some way, that we could say definitely, P.P. Pasolini is one of them. –
