La Poesia, la Musica. Un Incontro

Burning torches lit up Barga Vecchia last night to light the way to the Teatro Dei Differenti for the concert to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the death of Giacomo Puccini. The packed theatre was treated to an evening of the music of Puccini and the poetry of Giovanni Pascoli in equal doses. "L'ora di Barga" followed close on the heels of excepts from "La Tosca" and "Madam Butterfly" . "Cavallina Storna" fitted between "La Boheme"….all in all, an evening to remember . ARTCOMBER cannot pass this article without mentioning the sterling work of the tenore Sauro Casseri , the soprano Mimma Briganti and the delicate recital of Pascoli's poetry by  father and daughter , Giuseppe and Micol Pambieri.
