No football in Italy this weekend. Yesterday the Serie B match between Sicilian sides Palermo and Catania turned into a match, not just between the football players, but also the “fans”. The riots outside and inside the stadium claimed the life of one policeman who received fatal injuries after a fireworks bomb was thrown in his face. Hundreds of others were injured. All in all another good day for the reputation of football.
