An anonymous comment left on the barganews.com website during the summer of 2007 was part of the catalyst that spawned a new feature on barganews and now which after a gap of a couple of years has once again started to appear on the new site – giornaledibarganews.
The comment lamented the fact that according to him or her, there was more to Barga than just the historic centre and so barganews should be publishing articles from further afield and not just articles on art exhibitions, jazz musicians and the goings-on at Aristo’s bar.
Guest_2354 : b4 u changed the format barganews was interesting since then it is as if Barga only exists in and around Aristos because it is all jazz , art and opera Barga has so much more to offer to the tourist industry the just the arts it is a larger town than what is shown on Barganews and as I said b4 the revamp Barga was a larger city than the impression created now I have brought many many people to Barga that can not wait to return and no one has seen the opera or bargajazz or looked at a painting
Actually if anybody asks me for advice on where to go in Barga to get the real taste of life here, I always say, spend some time sitting in Aristo’s bar and Barga will come to you. It is without a doubt, the unofficial cultural centre of Barga.
So once again, we proudly present the comic strip for barganews: DA ARISTO.
It is based (very loosely) around the daily life, characters and stories from Barga.
This week it based around the story published last Sunday about the saw playing musician in Aristo’s
Sunday evening in Aristo’s bar in Barga Vecchia and as usual, some of the members of the swing band Emma e gli Aristodemo’s were entertaining themselves with a little jam session when in through the door walked a young woman with a strangely shaped black bag slung over her right shoulder – full article plus video here

Un commento anonimo lasciato sul sito web ai tempi di barganews.com durante l’estate del 2007, è stato in parte il catalizzatore che ha generato un nuovo progetto su barganews. Un progetto che adesso, dopo un black out di un paio di anni, è tornato a fare capolino anche sul nuovo sito barganews.
Il commento denunciava il fatto che secondo lui o lei, a Barga non c’era solo il centro storico e così barganews avrebbe dovuto pubblicare articoli anche di altre zone e non solo servizi di mostre d’arte, musicisti jazz.
Guest_2354: cambiare il formato di barganews è stato interessante, ma è come se Barga esistesse solo ed intorno al bar di Aristos perché Barganews è tutto arte, jazz e opera. Barga ha molto più da offrire all’industria turistica ed è una città più grande rispetto a ciò che viene mostrato su Barganews.
Barga è molto di più dell’impressione che invece se ne ricava su Barganews. Ho portato molte, molte persone a Barga che non vedono l’ora di tornare e nemmeno uno ha visto l’opera o Bargajazz o guardato un dipinto.
Attualmente in realtà, se qualcuno mi chiede consigli su dove andare in Barga per ottenere il vero gusto della vita del posto, ho sempre detto di trascorrere del tempo seduto al bar di Aristo e Barga sarebbe andata a loro. È senza dubbio, il centro culturale non ufficiale di Barga.
Così, ancora una volta, siamo orgogliosi di presentare la striscia a fumetti DA ARISTO. Essa si ispira (molto liberamente) alla vita quotidiana, personaggi e storie, di Barga. Questa settimana la striscia è legata alla storia pubblicata domenica scorsa riguardo alla sega suonata da una musicista Da Aristo in Barga Vecchia.
Domenica scorsa, come al solito, alcuni membri della swing band Emma e gli di Aristodemo erano lì impegnati con un po’ di jam session quando è entrata dalla porta una giovane donna con una borsa nera stranamente sagomata portata a tracolla sulla spalla destra – leggi l’articolo oltre il video qui
