First week into August and with temperatures touching 34° and 35° with high humidity but last night a change was in the air as some summer storms are on the way.
In fact there is a yellow alert for rain and storms just about to hit this area today.
Last night those storms were raging through Versilia and Garfagnana giving anybody in Barga who was still up at 4 am an absolute spectacle with continuous lightning flashes over the space of almost 2 hours.
