This evening was the last jazz evening of the season at the jazz club in Barga – a jam session running well past midnight.
That is the end of the season for the jazz club club until they reopen the doors again towards the end of the summer.
So why is it shutting down at the start of what is the busy summer season?
The main reason is it’s just too hot inside the jazz club during the summer and if they take down the sound proofing and open the windows, the sound of jazz can then be heard right across the whole city.
Ok for some but obviously not for all.

Questa sera è stata l’ultima serata jazz della stagione al jazz club di Barga – una jam session che è durata ben oltre la mezzanotte.

È la fine della stagione per il jazz club fino a quando riapriranno le porte verso la fine dell’estate.
Quindi, perché chiudono proprio all’inizio di quella che è la stagione estiva intensa?
Il motivo principale è che dentro il jazz club fa semplicemente troppo caldo durante l’estate e, se rimuovono l’insonorizzazione e aprono le finestre, il suono del jazz può essere udito in tutta la città.
Va bene per alcuni, ma ovviamente non per tutti.
