After what seems like weeks of very cold weather, heavy snow falls and frosty mornings, Barga today is feeling some somewhat warmer weather coming in from the West. Temperatures are rising slightly and the city was covered by low clouds and almost a thick fog at times.
What follows are a series of images taken this afternoon in Barga Vecchia with very few people about and some of that low cloud and fog swirling through the narrow streets.
A series of images of the city that many visitors to the city during the warm summer months would probably never see or even imagine.
As the damp soaked into the exterior walls of the house and stone streets – which in the summer are sun kissed and far lighter, the colours and tones darken and the underlying textures become much more clearly defined.
