The Christmas atmosphere picks up pace this weekend with the arrival in Mologna of Father Christmas. Heavy snowfall and polar temperatures all added to the occasion as people waited in the Piazza della Stazione for the bearded and red suited figure to arrive. Rudolph the red nosed and the rest of the reindeer were not in evidence this afternoon and nobody was really expecting them to arrive as by tradition Father Christmas comes down from the sky to Mologna each year not with a sleigh but rather the Santa Claus Helicopter -- supplied this year by the Eliservice company from Pieve Fosciana.
Now in its sixth year, the Father Christmas in Mologno event draws many interested children and parents eager to join in the fun and all of this thanks to the organisational powers of il consigliere provinciale Arturo Nardini and members of the ACS Mologno.
