There are probably very few people reading this who have not heard of facebook – the social networking website that has captured the attention and time of so many users. More than 120 million active users at the last count. The facebook phenomenon entered into the daily life of Barga this week with the launching of a group on facebook called “Fabio Picciolo Sindaco di Barga, Fabio Picciolo – Mayor of Barga” apparently there is a new independent candidate for the upcoming local elections in June of next year. The organisation behind Fabio Picciolo for Mayor held their first public meeting at the L’osteria in Piazza Angelio, Barga Vecchia where it was possible for the public to meet and talk with Fabio Picciolo.

Although a well attended the meeting was short and concise with very little hard news about the candidate or his new proposals for the future of Barga.

Una candidatura ineccepibile: un giovane (più o meno) capace di portare una ventata di rinnovamento e contemporaneamente un uomo con una lunga esperienza, seppur indiretta, dei corridoi di palazzo Pancrazi.
Peccato che il sito del Giornale di Barga abbia già chiuso il sondaggio relativo al nuovo sindaco di Barga. Alla luce di questa nuova e prestigiosa candidatura, forse sarebbe il caso di riaprire la discussione.
E io che pensavo che fosse già il sindaco di Barga!
Comunque c’è sempre bisogno di persone pulite dentro.
