The barganews award winning photographer O'Connor has been quietly posting up a small image each and every day on the front page of this site. The images form part on an ongoing project of his called Daily Images. Now in its fourth year, the Daily Images project is his attempt to document by using images and not words just what is happening to Barga through the seasons and over a longer time span. In fact the sub title of the project; "tradition and change in a small community" pretty much sums up what he has in mind as the core concept to these images. They are meant to be read as a series of images which frees him up from having to produce that "one stunning image" or "the perfect photograph". He can pop in the odd image that does not have a high visual impact on its own but when read in context with all the others still carries with it a cultural significance and the chance for people to understand slightly more about Barga and the changes that are taking place here. As you may have noticed the site has been having a few technical problems over the past couple of weeks, most of which have now been sorted but one of the causalities of all the technical changes on the server has been those Daily Images automatically appearing on the front page. Until these problems have been finally ironed out, you will have to click on the Daily Images link on the header above this article to get your daily fix of O'Connors images. Just to make up for this — how about clicking on this link – where you will be able to see all the thumbnail images for this year side by side. Clicking on each image will open up a larger version, clicking the back button on your browser will return you to the thumbnail page once again. Have fun
